German Communists Want to Imprison Bankers

The financial crisis has boosted the ego of European communists. Less than two decades after the demolition of the Iron Curtain, the ideology that once turned half of Europe into misery is gaining strength from a new generation unfamiliar with past atrocities. But old habits die hard, and the German communist party is now suggesting imprisonment of bankers will solve the ongoing crisis. The young people should be warned: imprisonment was the solution to all problems in communist East Germany. The self-proclaimed “progressivism” of contemporary German communism is just the same old totalitarianism re-branded.
